Parish Assessment and Renewal (PAR)
The Administration Commission:
1. Complete census information and subsequent outreach to parishioners who appear inactive
2. Enrich communication within the parish by supporting all of Fr. Pat’s initiatives, interfacing actively at mass, assisting ushers, and others
3. Support the parish’s Building Committee and maintenance improvement by establishing action items with Fr. Pat, building timelines, prioritizing projects, assisting with the bidding process, and others
The Community Commission:
1. Increase attendance for the Lenten Soup Suppers
2. Organize ministry information sessions where ministries can engage parishioners after Sunday Masses
3. Coordinate biannual ministry fairs
The Formation Commission:
1. Provide one introductory event for a fellowship ministry geared for young adults
2. Start an EDGE program for the parish’s junior high population
3. Develop and implement more opportunities for adult faith formation
The Outreach Commission:
1. Build a committee to assist existing programs for the homeless
2. Start a committee to fulfill the Stephens Ministry
3. Use “Welcome Home” or “Landings” to invite those not attending Mass to come back
The Worship Commission:
1. Create a ministry for greeters trained primarily in welcoming parishioners
2. Provide pamphlets and posters with information describing ministries
3. Add prayer request box in the church
